Hangulisation of Polish by Viorp Hangulisation of Polish by Viorp
It was much easier to do it on paper than on a PC. It was a test to see if it'd work.
I'd generally say that hangul is not meant to be used with polish.
I had to change some sounds asigned to letters a bit and add 17 new letters...
All half vovel sounds had to be thrown away as well as one basic vovel.

Also the way you write it had to change as in polish 4 consonants can come in a row within a sylable and in korean only 2.
I generally think it did not work out. It looks very unnatural and forced, it lost also much of it's logic.
The words are way shorter though, well as sylables easier to distinguish :P

Interesting... One of my side projects involves a main character with Polish-Korean heritage.

That sure is an unusual mix.

They the countries have a pretty simmilar history.

China -> Korea <- Japan
Russia -> Poland <- Germany

Both countries were pretty fucked because of their location.

And both love to let stuff rot before eating it...

It takes place in the future when global warming has swamped Europe, and the Korean peninsula is now a radioactive exclusion zone. The character even refers to his Korean father as "One of the exiles."

But it's all good because the story takes place in space!

I hate to nitpick here, but shouldn't the consonants with the extra lines represent the voiced consonants in Polish? That said, it's a novel idea, and I like the new letters.

Maybe, but doing that I found out it does work badly for consonant clusters XD
